Relational Artist and Filmmaker
As a relational artist I am interested in human connection and in creating circumstances that can illuminate the vulnerability of being human. Using film, sound and other methods I explore what emerges from beneath our daily veneer as we go about our very normal lives. I am continually looking for what makes us individuals and what connects us as the human race.
Combining the disciplines of anthroplogy, relational aesthetics and observational cinema has allowed me to enquire into this concept that sits at the foundation of all societies.
I use interactive technology to create fully participative pieces allowing the audience a greater proximity to the work, usually resulting in them co-creating the piece in the gallery space or other less likely sites for artwork.
